Musical Director/Keys 1
Grant graduated from the University of Hertfordshire, England, with a degree in Music, Commercial Composition and Technology in 2007. Grant was Associate MD on the UK tour of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (Peter Frosdick Productions), and is MD/Composer for WAG! The Musical, of which a UK tour is underway for 2015. Previous shows include Into The Woods, Copacabana, Spring Awakening, Rent, Little Shop of Horrors, La Cage Aux Folles and Putting It Together, along with prominent British pantomimes including the London Millfield Theatre and the Theatre Royal Bury St. Edmunds. Grant spent several years as Musical Director for Royal Caribbean International, arranging for the orchestras and leading the music programme across several ships. He continues to work in that industry via PEEL Entertainment as a vocal coach, MD and orchestrator.
Alongside teaching musical theatre, ensemble singing and theory on the degree and postgraduate courses at some of the leading academies around London (including The American Musical Theatre Academy, Mountview Academy and Bodywork Studios), Grant can also be found working as a jazz pianist - whilst maintaining his passion for composing and performing original material. His recent musical Newland received 4 and 5 star reviews at the Edinburgh Fringe.
